GWPR (Global Women in PR)
Co-Founder & Joint President
Angela has an impressive track record as a senior level PR consultant. She is experienced in working with global multi-nationals on strategic brand development, corporate communications and integrated campaigns.
Between 2012 and 2105 Angela was Joint-President of WPR (Women in PR), a networking organisation of senior PR women with a 50 year history. She re-launched the organisation and re-built the current network of 500+ senior women in the PR industry. Angela is passionate about campaigning against the widely reported gender pay gap and the lack of women in the boardroom in the PR industry.
Building on the success of WPR, Angela launched GWPR (Global Women in PR) in 2015 to act as an umbrella organisation to enable groups of senior PR women worldwide to come together to share ideas, contacts and experiences and to campaign on the major issues directly affecting women working in the PR industry today.
GWPR is a sector group of ICCO (the International Communications Consultancy Organisation), representing public relations consultancies in 55 countries across the globe. Collectively, these associations represent over 2,500 PR firms. Angela is currently a Board Member of ICCO.
Angela founded and successfully ran boutique London-based PR agency Treehouse PR; developing and managing the business for 20+ years. The agency implemented innovative global campaigns for major international brands, with impressive results in the drinks and creative industry sectors.
Prior to launching her own agency business Angela worked at global PR agencies – Hill & Knowlton and The Grayling Company.
Specialities: Global communications and networks, campaigning on gender issues and supporting the next generation of PR women.
