Maxim Behar

Founder & CEO, M3 Communication Group

Maxim Behar founded M3 Communication Group, Inc. in 1994 and is currently the company's Chief Executive.

M3 Communications Group is the leader in the field of public and media relations in Bulgaria. It has a client list of more than 60 international and local companies, and Maxim is personally involved in all accounts. The firm, which has been the Bulgarian partner of Hill & Knowlton since 2000, operates eight distinct companies specializing in public relations, digital and social media, branding, events, graphic design, media monitoring and education. It was named "East European Consultancy of the Year" for 2011 by The Holmes Report.

Maxim is currently Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Association of PR agencies (BAPRA), Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum and Member of the Board of several not-for-profit organisations. He also serves as Treasurer of ICCO, the largest PR consultancy community in the world.

Always an entrepreneur, Maxim co-founded one of the first private daily newspapers in Bulgaria in 1992 and helped to found both the National Association of Journalists for the EU (1995) and the Bulgarian Association of Advertising Agencies and Professionals (1996). He was also the first Bulgarian to become a full member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and later the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Maxim has served as Board Member and Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Forum as well as President, Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. He is a regular speaker at international public relations conferences and has received numerous business and communications awards.
